Hamid Sultan Al Busaidi is currently Executive Director – Oman Centre for Governance and Sustainability (OCGS), which was established in 2010 approved by ministers’ council then formed officially by royal decree in July 2015. He was the pioneer behind establishing the center and has been managing it till date. Also, he was Director General of supporting Services, at Capital Market Authority.

His experience is in numerous departments in Capital Market Authority (CMA) and Muscat Securities Market (MSM). He joined Muscat Securities Market (MSM) in 1994 as a computer programmer, then he joined Capital Market Authority in 1998.

During his long career, he gained extensive experience in Capital Markets and specifically in corporate governance. In addition, he participated as a speaker in local, regional and international conferences. Also, he is member of the OECD-MENA, Working group committee.

Mr. Al-Busaidi is holding MBA from Cardiff University in UK in year 2006. He has attended high quality professional training programs in management, strategy, leadership, communications and more in well recognized institutes in the world such as IMD in Switzerlan
